Essays with AI

These start with a prompt from me: a topic I’m noodling on; something I will I could refer to in future; something I’m reading or watching or listening to that sparks a thought process.

I do this in collaboration with an AI agent that knows my writing style, and is explicitly prompted to bring data, footnote and add references to all claims, and not but make stuff up! The writing and editing process is, therefore, its own experiment: what works, what doesn’t, and where the human judgment still has to live.
